I take it you haven’t registered yet. Otherwise you’d know that you dont need to get the CFAI curriculum books from anywhere else. As for prep providers, please purchase them directly from the publishers or it might just do more harm than good. CFAI does monitor these forums and the last thing you want is to be in trouble for some ethics violation.

I’ve read that the member will receive the materials after they register to the CFA institute. First i thought that i want to know about the materials and exams to measure my capability.

Am i good enough to take the Exam, therefore i want to buy those books i’ve mentioned before registering myself. Do you have any suggestion for me so that i am able to measure my capacity before i spend a big money (for me) to the exam?

It is a little difficult to get hold of full fledged course material without either registering or paying. Perhaps this might be of some help: There is a brief course outline and some practice questions for you to try.

Though this is a very very brief outline and in no way represents the depth of the actual material, it might help you get a vague idea of what will be expected. Hope this helps you! If you are uncertain about how you will hold up against the material I suggest you try for the exam in December instead of June as most people are atleast half way through their prep by now for the June exam.
